Bright Yellow Group, trading as LifeCarers, provides care for approximately 400 people in their own homes. The types of care provided vary from companionship, making meals and shopping to bathing, administering medication, dressing and cleaning.
The company operates from branches in Reading, Bracknell, Banbury, Chineham and Witney from where the care services are co-ordinated. The company employs 200 staff, 180 of whom are care workers delivering the service out in the field.
In order to continue their growth Bright Yellow aims to expand through the establishment of additional satellite and registered branches. To further this aim they have been looking to transition their IT support and strategy to a new provider who can help advise, guide and support them.
After a rigorous selection process they have chosen Reading based Connexion to help them move to a more flexible cloud based infrastructure platform. This encompasses their core services such as Microsoft Office and Sage accounting as well as hosted rostering and time management. The adoption of a more flexible approach, as well as a comprehensive managed service from Connexion, will enable the organisation to grow more easily and quickly whilst reducing the overall cost of IT.
The Connexion service will include the transition of the IT from in-house servers to a cloud based infrastructure as well as day to day support. In addition Connexion will help with the development of a new web collaboration and information sharing systems using SharePoint. This will help Bright Yellow employees to connect more effectively between offices and enable the secure sharing of information with stakeholders such as service beneficiaries, carers, head office and branches.
Paula Rousell, Finance Manager at Bright Yellow Group commented “This move will enable us to grow the number of branches and satellite offices more easily through the standardised roll-out of IT resources. The adoption of cloud based systems will not only simplify our IT but also enable our key information workers to access and process data more easily and securely.”
